Powerful Teams

A team that works intensively together to achieve its goals can achieve a lot in a short space of time. It is not just a number of employees who will deliver a particular service or product, but a unit of mutually supportive and complementary individuals who are united by a common desire and, above all, a recognizable striving for cohesion.

To this end, it is important to counteract the typical group effects that lead, for example, to a hasty start working on apparent solutions that will not produce the desired result after all. Above all, however, a common spirit based on mutual tolerance and personal enthusiasm for the group goal must be encouraged.

If a working group has not yet formed a real team, my recommendation is to start by promoting mutual understanding - certainly in private. Unfortunately, unusual group experiences (such as raft building in the forest) often only have a short-term effect on the team members, as they do not address the individual needs of the employees.

The key to understanding others is, of course, understanding your own wishes and needs. Understanding the common goal also means seeing how your own goals and wishes relate to that goal.
